Stress echo trainer: learn to read and report dobutamine stress echo
A free simulator of dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE). Every study has rest, low-dose, peak and recovery stages in the parasternal long-axis, short-axis and apical 4-, 2- and 3-chamber views, with heart rate, blood pressure, symptoms and ECG for each stage. Because the heart is simulated, the grade of every segment at every stage is known exactly.
What you can practise
- Wall motion grading on the 17-segment model at every stage, and the wall motion score index (WMSI)
- Inducible ischaemia by coronary territory, multivessel disease and high-risk features
- Scar and viability: biphasic and sustained responses at low dose
- Non-diagnostic tests, LBBB and false-positive ECG traps, Q waves and ST elevation, and a structured DSE report
Guides
- Dobutamine stress echo protocol: stages, target heart rate and end-points
- How to interpret a stress echo: wall motion responses, WMSI and high-risk features
- Myocardial viability on dobutamine stress echo: biphasic and sustained responses
- The ECG during stress echo: ST depression, ST elevation and Q waves
