Echo LV function trainer: learn visual EF and wall motion scoring
Heart Function Training is a free echocardiography simulator for cardiology trainees, sonographers and students. It generates realistic cine loops in the parasternal long-axis, parasternal short-axis and apical 4-, 2- and 3-chamber views from a 3D model of the left ventricle, so the true ejection fraction and the grade of every one of the 17 segments are known exactly.
What you can practise
- Visual estimation of LV ejection fraction in 5% ranges, with BSE categories
- Regional wall motion scoring on the AHA/ASE 17-segment bullseye: normal, hypokinetic, akinetic, dyskinetic, aneurysmal
- Coronary territories (LAD, RCA, LCx), aneurysm, LV thrombus, dilated cardiomyopathy, Takotsubo, LBBB and pacing, post-surgical septum, RV overload, LVH, HCM and LV non-compaction
Also: dobutamine stress echo training (rest, low-dose, peak and recovery loops, viability and structured reporting).
